Re: Coastal run
Hi Andrew,
yes Colin Wood from Bolton passed the baton to me and ran 32 miles from Angerton (near Kirkbride) round the coast via Bowness-on-Solway and Carlisle to Gretna. It was the longest run he'd ever ran and was absolutely exhausted after it. He's in good shape though having ran the Prague marathon the Sunday before and plans to run Edinburgh marathon this Sunday.
Alan Scott from Lancaster was the runner that ran Annan to Ruthwell, he traveled up with his wife and stayed in the area for a couple of days.
It was a good spirit of camaraderie between runners, and made some new friends.
Edited to add: Forgot to say, Colin was also the person who made the wooden baton (aka Barry the baton)
