Well done everybody that ran the Castle Douglas 5 miler, some good times put in, Joe was back in form and came in first ADAC, well ran mate, Ranji pushed him hard and is running really well. It was not without cost for some of our runners, I know both Andy and Gordon picked up injuries on the run, I hope both of you recover soon.

Young Stuart ran well and it was good to see a new face, Liz's friend Sally welcome to ADAC Sally, Oh because you are a Moffat runner you must run the hills, it is in the terms and conditions of the club, just ask Jim.

I had a wee stroll along the bottom part of the route on Saturday afternoon and it is quite overgrown and narrow between the Everholm and first bridge - caution is necessary I think, especialy if it is wet underfoot.

The thing is Andy usually before a race I have some niggle that I am worried about, I am usually thinking about just getting round without making it worse, running as fast as I can without it pulling too much. Once the race gets under way after a few minutes it is normally forgotten. On Tuesday I had no niggles and felt after the Friday run I could PB but after a couple of miles I was struggling. I am sure if your calf had been OK you would have pasted me.

We had a nice pleasurable hill run on Saturday morning, Jean, Jim, Rory and me, the pace was relaxed as we all kept together, good job really as I still didn’t feel like I was running on all cylinders, the weather was perfect and the views outstanding, a nice run.

Andy was the trip to the river a top secret Racers training run to get a local edge? This could be a real chance for the Racers to pull ahead with our top striker away looking at the Bunders League, although I would not be surprised if he didn’t get a private Jet back to make the run.

Seriously thanks for the heads up on the terrain, will shorts be OK or will we need trackie bottoms because of the nettles?

No food poising Joe, I put it down to the Ninja wild cat assassin bite. I will be safe from the Wild cats tomorrow as I am bringing me Body guard Igg, she loves cats.
