AULDGIRTH 10k TRAIL RACE

Hi all
Jim Buchanan Craig Johnstone Carl Heaven and myself had a last minute decision to go and take part in the Auldgirth 10K trail run . I really enjoyed it it was a super route running on road across fields and forest tracks . There was a fair amount of climbing to do in the first half but it leveled out and gave way to some nice running surfaces in the latter part .It was something different and I would certainly recommend it to any of you who fancies a go at it next year in fact much better than that Carlisle 10K last week. When you finished there was a lovely spread of rolls and homebaking as well as soup tea and coffee which went down a treat .There was also plenty going on at the event for those supporters left behind while we were out enjoying the scenery as it was the villages 'gala day'.
All in all a good day out.

PPS Good to see Carl Heaven running he finished 3d
PS Winning man was Steve Smith DRC approx 39 mins
Jim ran 51.45 - i think me - 52.33 and Craig approx 53.55
