The FINAL FINAL Summer Team Event 2013 - Annan Treasure Hunt (sort of....)

The Final Team Event is being held on the 17th Sept, starting about 7pm ADAC time at the swimming pool, but it would be really really good if everyone could be there for 6.45 so that the details can be explained.
Without going into too much detail it will be a team event - depending on numbers each of the three main teams (Bokkers, Legends and Trotters) will be split into smaller teams (hopefully 3 groups if there are enough), any guest runners will be allocated to teams to get a balance and each grouping will be assigned a handicap for a 5mile route around town based on the slower team member.
On the route there will be stations where you will need to collect information or answer a question (I've not decided yet!) and each answer will score points - you don't need to go around in a specific order and you don't need to get all of the stations but the sub-team must run together (no cheating!! ).  There will be a small bonus if your team comes in ahead of handicap however if you take too long there will also be severe penalties.
When all of the group points are added up the winners will be decided and points awarded.
So come along and support your teams. 
I'll try to have enough provisions but if you happen to bring along a small pen or pencil (raid Argos or Ladbrokes this weekend! ) it would be good for the answers sheet - hopefully it will stay dry! 

OK - all set for tomorrow with rough ideas of everyone's handicaps based on the last few runs and %age scores with a bit of fiddle factor - please can you try to get to the pool for 6.45pm so we can make the most of the light, there is a small section of the 'course' on unlit road.
We also need to get the groups sorted out and the rules explained - see above for summary. if you can bring a pen or pencil that would be great.
Hopefully first group will set off at 7pm and others will follow shortly afterwards.
